PROJECTS → Mountain Shelter, California, USA

Scope of Project

A design proposal for a 3,000.00sq.ft. energy efficient shelter for 65 people in the mountains of Southern California.

Design Features

The building form is influenced by major energy efficient considerations such as:

The shelter has a compact, cuboid building form, which results in the minimum surface area and therefore minimum fabric heat loss. With this form there is plenty of scope to introduce solar gain without a significant increase in the heat loss.
